Birthday of the Institute of Physiology December 5, 1925

The first name was the PHYSIOLOGICAL INSTITUTE of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

In 1934 it was renamed by the decision of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR into the INSTITUTE OF PHYSIOLOGY AND PATHOLOGY OF HIGHER NERVOUS ACTIVITY OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES of the USSR

On March 25, 1936, the original name of the Physiological Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences was returned, and
On April 19, 1936 they named it after the founder I.P. Pavlov — PHYSIOLOGICAL INSTITUTE NAMED AFTER I.P. PAVLOV OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE USSR

July 1950 after the merger of the three institutes, received its modern name — INSTITUTE OF PHYSIOLOGY NAMED AFTER I.P. PAVLOV OF THE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE USSR

March 13, 1969 Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on awarding the Institute of Physiology with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor for successes in the development of physiological sciences and the training of highly qualified personnel.

In 1991 the Russian Academy of Sciences was created. The institute was renamed into the INSTITUTE OF PHYSIOLOGY NAMED AFTER I.P. PAVLOV OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES

Modern name: FEDERAL STATE BUDGETARY INSTITUTION OF SCIENCE INSTITUTE OF PHYSIOLOGY NAMED AFTER I.P. PAVLOV OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES
